    Well first and for most I want to wish Zero a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It was actually yesterday , but since I didnt do the update I couldn't post it.

    I also want to thank Ilene and Zero for the congrats on my domestic partnership. I want to add a thank you to Pudda as well for all the hard work she does in reporting. Without the three of them I would be lost. Well we are coming to another months end. I can't believe it.

    On another note my wife and I have a friend who is a cancer survivor. We are doing a walk for the American Cancer society. She has her own team that she puts together every year. If you could, take a moment and look at it. If you can, donate anything you can,if you cant just send out all the healing vibes you can. I will be participating in the walk my self and I am trying to get my employee to match the donations as well. Thank you you everyone and see her blurb below about it.Have a great weekend everyone.

In case you didn't know, this year marks the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown and they are doing a great deal of archeological excavation at the original site of James Fort.     Hi All. Did anyone miss me (Ilene) last week? I was busy being political and attending my state teachers' union representative assembly. I'd hate to mention how many of these I've gone to (because then you'd have a better idea of my age!). But I did have a first last week. Has anyone else been hit up…I mean received solicitations for contributions by any of our presidential candidates? For the first time I can remember, I received not one but two solicitations. Both Obama and Clinton asked for donations! And the election is over a year away!!!!!! Oh well, so the political season begins. If any of that offends you, please choose another story. Tartarus takes place after ORIGINS. It is not necessary to read ORIGINS first, but some references will be puzzling to you. I began this story before season three. Given all that has happened, I find it hard to continue without allowing season three to intrude in some places. If that doesn't fit with the first fifteen chapters, well, (picture me shrugging my shoulders here), it can't be helped. The last chapters. This was written in fits and starts over the past ten years or so. I hope there are no glaring inconsistencies. Above all, let me apologize for the exceedingly long delay to anyone who has been waiting for this story to be finished. With the best of intentions I just couldn’t get it done until now.

    Message from Linda about the Between the Lines series "Xena: Warrior Princess ended its six-season run in June 2001, and has been released on DVD. I am re-watching the entire series, and after each episode, writing a short story, usually told in the first person from the viewpoint of one or more characters. The stories may focus on what happened during the episode, or they may reveal thoughts and events that take place between episodes. While you can probably enjoy these without re-watching the corresponding episodes, to get the most from these stories, I strongly suggest you do re-watch them."

    It rained again today. Actually describing it as "rain" is a bit like calling Everest "a small hill". The ground is so wet the rain no longer soaks in, so the garden is now a lake. I got ready to take the dogs out and opened the door. My collie looked at me as if to say "Are you nuts?? Do you seriously think I'm going out in that??" The retriever went "Oh boy, mud!! Wicked!!" And proceeded to try and disguise himself as a chocolate labrador... Which idiot thought dogs were a good thing to have... oh yeah.. that would be me. *g* Just a short list tonight.     Hi there folks. Just been watching the eclipse of the moon - fantastic!! It really did go red. Amazing experience. I'm still mending slowly - got to have another op this week but they reckon that afterwards I'll have 95% use of the arm back - which is great news.     Hi all. Not much of an update today. If you're in the midwest, you know how wet and icky it is (how's that for an educator's vocabulary!?!?!?!). The craziest thing was listening to the thunder today while walking the dogs in the snow.
