Frederica and the Viscountess
June 1815. Joanna, Viscountess Norland arrives at her brother's country
residence, Thornbury Park. Her notoriety and recent exploits on the wartorn
Continent precede her, and her presence in the quiet neighborhood causes
quite a stir. Frederica, a close neighbor, is constantly reminded by her
mother that she's getting too old to be picky about suitors. So she
dutifully continues her visits to Thornbury Park to be courted by the
Viscountess's dull brother-in-law. Complications arise when a friend from
Joanna's checkered past, Lord Peregrine, takes a fancy to Frederica's
younger sister. Frederica and the Viscountess join forces to stop a
potential scandal and discover they have more in common than anyone would
suspect.
The Adventures of Murdering Meg
Five years ago, plantation owner Thomas Digges and his sons left Margaret
Etherege for dead. Now known as Murdering Meg, a notorious pirate, she's
ready to exact her revenge on her former master. And when a brigantine sets
sail for England, with Digges's nubile daughter Alice and her dowry on
board, Meg decides to relieve its captain of his valuable cargo.

Be careful what you wish for. I wondered if it would ever warm up and now we're in the 90's with high humidity!!
Had a great time over the weekend watching my niece get married! And my nephew gets married in Hawaii in August!! On another note, for those educationally minded readers, on this day in 1884, the first roller coaster in America opened at Coney Island, in Brooklyn, New York. It traveled approximately six miles per hour and cost a nickel to ride!
XENITE IN NEED
Some of you may know/remember Atlanta Pup, Sulli, who was at DragonCon every year and also went to a couple of the Orlando BardCons. She also tours seasonally with the Indigo Girls as their guitar tech, so some of you may have seen her at their concerts walking back and forth across the stage to switch out their instruments. She had a stroke this past weekend and is recovering, but will need some help with medical bills and living expenses for a while.
A paypal account has been set up by Amy and Emily (Indigo Girls) for those who would like to help out, the verified paypal addy is: SulliLove@gmail.com
Also if you'd like to send her a card you can do so here
